Magic Rat turned me on to Angels 2200, a very good comic with a strong manga feel. It is adult-oriented with a "cute lesbian" undercurrent but nothing graphic. It’s the story of a star fighter squadron during a war, deployed with insufficient training, but having to go out anyway. Very good characterization, I’d love to see it as a movie. The archives consist of some 225 pages, takes a little time to read but well worth it. Very good art, I'd love to know how they draw it. Someday I'll check out the rest of their site, there has to be a FAQ or something on it.

I agree that it's something that I'd really like to see. I know that the creators are working on a movie in New Zealand (they've posted links to trailers in the past), but I'm not sure if it's about Angels 2200 or not.
