I will say, with Hunger Games, the implication is that Katniss is most likely multiracial, with olive skin and black hair. And given that most of the kids in the Games are supposed to die, it's kind of inevitable. But if you ever want to get depressed about humanity, look up collections of people angry that Rue was cast as black—though she was SPECIFICALLY described that way in the books. Oh, and that Cinna was black too, though he's not described as anything specific, because how DARE they give a principle role to someone not white. Sheesh, people. Don't tell me you're not racist if you fling stuff like that around, because you're wrong.
