Book goodness today. Yesterday we ordered three books from Amazon, chewing up a bit of a goodly-sized credit sitting in my 'zon account. Amongst them was the newest John Ringo 'Posleen' story: Watch on the Rhine, I'm really looking forward to getting it! I've really enjoyed the Posleen series and was wondering when he was going to address the nastiness happening elsewhere in the world.
Basically the instant after I finalized the order I saw a David Weber title that I did not remember, At All Costs. A new Honor Harrington novel!
It is now for a fangirlish squee: SQUEEEE!
I've been a huge Harrington fan for ages. Fortunately I was in Las Cruces today which has a Barnes & Noble, for which I have a discount card. I got it at 30% off, it probably would have been cheaper through 'Zon, but I didn't want to wait and pay add'l shipping. And it would have been an increased wait as one of the books on order has not yet shipped, so we won't be getting that shipment until late next week at the earliest.
Oh, and it comes with a CD of David Weber's books, I don't know if it's everything or not, I'll check it out later.
Unfortunately I won't jump into it immediately, I started another older Terry Pratchet book recently, Carpe Jugulum, and I want to finish that first before starting the new Honor book.
