I think that's a good observation on lack of RAW. Considering that we now have iPads with 8-core CPUs, I expect that equation is changing.
One thing with GPS is that if you get a lock and move a mile, it'll reacquire the lock more quickly than if you turn it off and move a hundred miles. You still have problems with buildings blocking reception, but there's only so much you can do.
Maybe it's just me, but I've never found using a camera phone to be handy. I just don't normally think of my phone as being a camera, though I had some fun with my 6 and the slow motion video capability after I got it. I think part of it is that a phone doesn't feel like a camera, I've been using SLRs and their like for so long that my hands have that visceral memory in them that a smartphone doesn't fulfill.
