Peanut butter-filled pretzels + Almond Chocolate Spread = YUM. If you don't have a TJ's nearby, you might be able to cobble something similar together. If not, well, your loss. :-)

I dip the pretzel nuggets directly in to the jar. I think I brought four jars back from Phoenix last month, and if needs must, I can drive up to Albuquerque for more.

This sounds tasty, but peanuts and I are no longer friends. My wife might enjoy this combination though, and they sell such items at the local grocery.

Generally I only buy peanut butter filled pretzels for the pup. Our old dog used to love them.

Our poodle is fond of them, though we don't add the almond chocolate spread for him.

It's only an hour to the nearest TJ's. The Maine Wilderness is as much wilderness as it use to be. Prior to it opening about 5 years ago, it was 3 hours one way and $5 in tolls each way to the nearest TJ's in the Boston Suburbs.

Wife is currently hooked on their cookie butter spread. I find it too sweet. I'd probably find your suggested combo too sweet. (chuckle), but I could see her trying it.

Seems like it was about an hour from my sister's-in-laws in Cape Elizabeth to the one in Portland, or South Portland, whatever. Praise the FSM for inventing GPS! And they didn't have mega-death by chocolate bundt cakes, apparently those are regional to the southwest. Very disappointing as I was making dinner for the sisters and wanted a really decadent dessert. For us here, it's 3.5+ hours to Albuquerque, or 400 miles to Tucson to get to TJ's. We keep hoping for one in El Paso or Las Cruces, but we don't hold our breath.

I can't say that I've ever been too keen on cookie butter spread or ice cream. I admit I clean the bowl when I make my oatmeal chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies, but that's simple tradition. This chocolate almond spread isn't as sweet as you might think, and the saltiness of the pretzel is a nice offset. You might like it.
