Heaviness

My brother-in-law, stationed in Afghanistan, was supposed to be home for the holidaze. I believe he was supposed to be home by now or arriving soon. Just got word that he's in a hospital in Germany with a ruptured appendix.

Sigh.

Odds are good for recovery normally for such things, but people still die from them. Hopefully he'll be home for Christmas.

Unfortunately I know nothing more at this point. I'm sure I'll have more information in a couple of days. Hazarding a guess, it'll hold him up a week or so before he's able to travel, but I would think he'd still make it.
