thewayneWell, new to me. It's called Kung Fu Yoga, and it released January of last year. I don't think it saw very wide theatrical release in the USA, I certainly never saw any posters or trailers in Phoenix, El Paso, or locally, not that I'd expect it to appear locally.
I didn't get to see all of it last night as a friend called and kept me on the phone for half an hour, so I've got half an hour to go. But it's lots of fun: classic comic Jackie Chan. He plays a top Chinese archeologist (cue references to Indiana Jones, including snakes and whips) and gets involved with a woman from India in recovering relics from over a thousand years ago, hence the yoga part. International intrigue ensues with awesome shots in Arabia, I can't remember the name of the country but it's the one that built the giant artificial island that looks like a palm tree from the air.
Epic fight in ice caves, epic car chases, Jackie Chan clowning while fighting: basically classic Jackie Chan comedy. Sadly, no Sammo Hung and no Jackie Chan Stunt Team. Amazon Prime wanted money to rent it, but it was free to view on Netflix, so that's what I'm watching it on.
I stumbled upon its existence while looking up info on Yoga Hosers on IMDB and was very happy that I did so!
