Just got back from seeing Avengers: Infinity War -- no spoilers

Wow. I was rather surprised when Batman and the Justice League challenged Thanos to a team dance-off, or am I taking too many meds?

Sadly we missed the first 5 minutes or so, which is vexing, and I had to boogie before the end credits easter egg, but I'll be seeing it at least one more time in the theater.

My first thought was: Paul Ryan is just a cut-rate Thanos.

My second was, if I was a Dispensationalist, I'd be pretty pissed.

Paul Ryan is going to have to do a lot more steroids, P90X, and protein shakes if he wants to get to Thanos proportions. :-)

Religion becomes a very complicated thing in a superhero universe where death and resurrection aren't very meaningful. And then there's the HBO series The Leftovers.
