They have several different models of working catapults, trebuchets, etc. available that can hurl golf balls upwards of 300'! They also have software simulators to calculate arm length, throw distance, etc.

LOL! I've never tried golf myself, I like Churchill's comment of "a waste of a perfectly good walk."

One of my two favorite golf jokes: "I was golfing the other day, I got a hole in one then I birdied the windmill."

Though these things could make for an interesting variation.... catapult golf!

The Iolaus action figure came with a little harness which had a wee little catapult attached to it. And it came with two little plastic rocks. I used to use Iolaus to launch them at people in my office. It was fun. :)

I'd bet it'd also work with little plastic pellets, which'd be less likely to damage office equipment or cause people serious harm.

Now THAT...

I just ordered both CD kits for my dad! I don't know if he'll ever bother building one, but I think he could have a lot of fun with it.

If you haven't seen them, my dad does wood bowls that are incredibly beautiful. They're at www.gotbowls.com.

OMG!!! I totally want a couple of those....one little one for the office, another couple little ones at home for friendly food-fights with the wife, and a good-sized one to hurl eggs at obnoxious neighbor kids!!

*insert Tim Allen grunting sounds here....lots of 'em!*

Hmmm... launching M&Ms at each other.... If it can hurl a golf ball, I don't see a problem with eggs except that you might have to modify the holder/cup a bit.

Yeah, having it deepened slightly and better padded would probably work to help smooth out the initial application of force and avoid having the egg just explode on the instant of release. I'd bet there'd be a lot of fun things one could do with those. I was thinking of our younger cat who loves to chase rolled up balls of paper....and that that'd be a fun way to launch them for her.

Oh, yeah....I'm sure there's a lot of fun to have with those. :>
