Placeholder for a February Post
Feb. 28th, 2019 09:30 amI had two long posts to do, one which I was going to do in February, then I saw something similar in a major news source and read their online submission guides and saw that they require exclusive first rights, so I have to give it to them first. So I will.
That'll give me a chance to get the other long post done. Which should have gone up in December - not a year end recap, but recapping something that happened 40 years ago. I was hoping to do one or the other while in Phoenix last week, but I ended up really busy with my last paper for my last library science class, which got me 100% grade for both the paper and the class, so it was worth the effort.
So something's coming.

Date: 2019-03-03 05:19 pm (UTC)TY! I found this really cool data source, the Academic Library Survey, where libraries submitted all sorts of data points to the Feds every other year from 2000 to 2012, downloaded all the data for the libraries in the NMSU system and went data analyst on its butt. Lots of fun, found some interesting stuff. Unfortunantely the ALS was folded into a much larger university survey and it would appear that all those lovely data points were lost, now boiled down to two sections. I finish up my internship in April and have to do a communications class over the summer, then that's done. Then I'll figure out another course of study in the Fall. I ended up getting A's in every library class that I took, 100% in most of them.
