nor have I read anything about it aside from watching trailers.

The movie is THREE HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES LONG.

So be aware. Unless you have an industrial-sized bladder, I'd recommend NOT going out to dinner immediately before the movie and being very mindful on the refreshments. But above all, I'd recommend the smartphone app, available for both Android and iPhone, called RunPee. They have suggestions for most movies on when good points are in the movie to run out of the movie and take a pee break. However, anticipating they are about to get royally slammed, they've taken their web site down in order to focus on keeping their back end infrastructure up to support the apps.

If you don't have a smartphone but do have a Google tablet or iPad, you're good. If you don't have a smartphone or tablet, borrow one from a friend. If you can't borrow one from a friend and are planning on seeing the movie, use your best judgement.

I did hear that there's no footage in the end credits, so at least you can make a run for the loo once the credits start rolling.

I don't think we're going to see it in the theaters, for the other reasons put out, but it is worth knowing that it's a very long film on case we decide to watch it on the comfort of home, where we can hiss and make fun of terrible decisions.
