I just got a call from my lung doctor's office. On a Saturday. To reschedule an appointment.

IN SEPTEMBER!

I certainly appreciate being notified in advance, but five months?! I guess that's a good thing?

Better to manage advance travel plans?

Best reason ever for abrupt cancellation and also the shortest notice I ever got: appointment cancelled on a couple of hours' notice because the relevant person had just had their water break.

Now I'd call that a pretty solid reason for rescheduling two hours in advance!  In our case, travel plans are a 90some minute drive, so not a big deal.  And that far in advance there's no telling whether or not I'll be working and I should be able to schedule around it regardless.

Appreciated!  It's basically monitoring.  My asthma seems to be fairly stable, it's 3 times a year to keep an eye on things.  It's nice to have a competent specialist.

Very good thing, I'd say. It shows consideration for your own plans as much as their needs.
