U.S. Olympic boxer cleared of doping violation after she had sex with her boyfriend

Boyfriend, also an athlete, was doing drugs. Timeframes are not discussed, but some time after he did drugs and they had sex, she was tested and failed the test. She was slated to compete in Tokyo, obviously that's not happening, so hopefully she'll be competing there next year.

Apparently this was a first. I've heard of transmission of drugs through skin to skin contact, so it makes sense that they could be sexually transmitted.

I have some doubts about this. Obviously would need a lot of details: what drug, how much he did, when he did them, when he had with her (in relationship both to when he did the drug and when they had sex), proof of drug being found in semen, how much of that would then be absorbed (be it vaginally, anally, or orally), when she got tested.... way too many variables.

I did once research "contact high" which was really sex-hand smoke (one of my Soldiers in VTARNG claimed that). Exists, but limited.

Overall, not buying her story it was "sexually transmitted positive drug test."

Awful lot of unknowns. But she did convince the anti-doping people, so it would seem plausible. Unfortunately this particular article is completely absent on the details needed.

She would have to jump through a lot of evidentiary hoops to convince them, I suspect. There would have been lots of follow-up research to confirm/debunk. If they didn't take care of the due diligence in this, it could have bitten them later on. In lawsuit money.

Long ago, during my mis-spent youth, I read a rather sleazy book which detailed lurid and unusual murders. As I recall, one of the crimes recounted was that of an Italian Renaissance family who dosed a young female servant with micro-doses of strychnine, gradually increasing the dosage until she could take enough to kill a horse with no effect on her. They then sent her to seduce a disliked rival nobleman, with fatal results.

It seemed unlikely to me even at the time, but, who knows?

I take testosterone via transdermal gel. The datasheet in the package warns that it can rub off on other people and be absorbed by them in quantities that can cause issues.

Yep.  Though I think in this case the BF was taking things on the proscribed list.
