And it's not going to slow down. I expect it to accelerate at the end of the year and early '21 because of Christmas gatherings, then again in mid-January due to New Year's gatherings, then again in early/mid February for back to school. But that last one might not happen or be as bad since vaccines are beginning to be deployed.

If this has been a thing that primarily affected rich white Christian men, we'd have it controlled much more easily. But someone saw opportunities to hurt people they didn't like and decided to let it go, until, of course, it was hurting everybody because viruses don't actually care. Even now, though, the people who could stop it are sitting on their hands or trying to make sure the mob can't get them with the guillotines. It's still not hurting the people they care about, so they see no reason to rush or pass something that isn't going to put them and their friends in a position of more power and money when everything is done.
