Bloom County returning to television!

An animated series is going into production by Bento Box Entertainment, sadly on Fox. Maybe it will prosper, but Fox Television, a completely different organization than Fox News, has such a history of butchering things like Firefly that I have some deep-seated doubts. I hope they're a different studio these days.

No projected air date or mention to voice casting. Berke Breathed, the creator of Bloom County, is deeply involved in the project, which is definitely heartening.

Yeah, Fox canceled many shows prematurely, in my opinion. Quite a pattern of behavior, at least years ago.

We'll see how it goes. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the things that wouldn't blink as a newspaper strip will get a lot of complaints as an animation, especially on the Fox network of shows.
