RIP: Gilbert Gottfried, 67

The comedian, who started his unconventional and controversial career in New York City at the age of 15, died of a heart condition aggravated by a medical problem with his muscles. Pretty sad.

Personally, I was not a fan of his comedy, though I thought his acting was pretty decent. To each their own. But he had plenty of fans and they will certainly miss him.

Oh No... That's sad news. :(
I wasn't a fan of his early on, but he was a great Iago in Aladdin. :o

He made a decent Hollywood Square. And did all right as Iago in the Aladdin movies. But you had to like both his voice and his delivery to enjoy his comedy.

There was a YT video that I meant to watch of him in the Hollywood Squares that I heard was an absolute classic.  I'll have to dig around for that.  Yeah, he just wasn't to my taste, but there are many comedians who aren't and that's true of comedians in general.  That's why we have so many out there!

It might be the one linked in the obituary you linked to, because it was an epic battle of wrong decisions all involving Gilbert as the square both payers wanted to capture.
