thewayneA long battle with cancer claimed the star best known for Cheers and Star Trek II: The Wrath of KHAAAAAAAAN!. A huge Star Trek fan, that movie was her big break into show business in 1982. In Cheers, she was the only cast member to not appear in the follow-on series Frasier, except for Coach, but he was dead before Frasier aired. Also big into Scientology, not uncommon for big Hollywood names.
