Apparently it was less than an inch and already has mostly melted away. But it's snowing right now, and it would seem that we have a pretty big storm front moving in, so that's cool.

But what's really cool is that I got a call from the university for a lab tech position that I applied for and I'll be interviewing this afternoon! This week will probably be the last for my current job with Arizona Department of Education, I'm just finishing up documentation and re-writing one program that somehow got clobbered, so it's good timing. The lab tech position isn't much, but it's better than nothing. And it could be a stepping-stone into a real IT job with the university, and they need it! Their wireless network is pretty bad, they didn't set it up well at all. ;-)

Nope! That's what makes this such a novel experience! I'm sure I'll grow to hate it in a few years.

But we're pretty desperate for moisture up here, it's going to be a pretty horrible fire season.

Maybe not. I've lived only in Phoenix and Tucson, pretty much, and I still find snow endlessly fascinating whenever I come across it. Although, to be honest, I haven't had to commute week after week in the bullseye of black ice...

Thanks, it shouldn't be a problem. I've always interviewed well, and though I'm overqualified, I'm going to be stating out front that I'm looking for a better position with the university when one becomes available. Give them a retenetion enticement to hire me.

And if they don't hire me, THEN the spatula comes into play! BWAHAHAHA!
