This is mainly for
lovelyangel.
I have my second batch mixing, same recipe as before: substituting eggnog for the whole milk. The point of the post is decibels! According to an app on my iPhone 13, it is about +10db. My normal kitchen noise level is around 60db, with the machine running about 70.
So there you go!

Date: 2023-12-26 07:01 pm (UTC)A standard base is whole milk, heavy cream, white sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. I substituted the whole milk with Jack Daniel's vanilla eggnog (non-alcoholic, alcohol really complicates ice cream's freezing point!). Lots of ice cream bases are derived from this basic recipe, and I dived into the deep end with the nogg. ;) It is most excellent!
