Kamala and Tim released a video in which they were talking about food. And the following exchange took place:
Walz: I have white guy tacos and…

Harris: What does that mean, like, mayonnaise and tuna? What do you do?

Walz: Pretty much ground beef and cheese and…

Harris: That’s okay. Do you put any flavor in it?

Walz: Uh, no.

Harris: Oh.

We've known forever that the right wing can't handle poking fun at themselves. Self-deprecating humor is strictly out of bounds, for they are UBER-MENSCH! Though it makes you wonder that uber-mensch need to sell so many vitamin products on their podcasts.... ANYWAY, by Tim saying that white guys can't handle pepper, he's just insulted all white guys.

To add further insult to the bruised fee-fees of the weird right-wing, Taylor Swift fans are going nuts over Tim and have started a campaign, and since it's Taylor Swift fans, it's HUGE. One thing that helped was it came out that Walz is a bit of a fan of TayTay.

The fans want Swift to endorse Kamala, which may happen, but hasn't happened yet.

Being a huge fan of self-targeting jokes (because they yeah, tell you A LOT about a person), i never really understood these ones -- about white people being unable to handle spices, etc.
i am as pale as one can possible be, yet, raised in a household with tons of peppers and herbs in nearly every meal. preaching the same on my kitchen as well

It's more of a Northern American thing, specifically the state he's in.  I put chili peppers in lots of dishes myself, give me seasoning!  It doesn't have to be hot, just good flavor.  I even put a touch of chili powder in chocolate mousse!

It's very interesting to see how fast those white supremacists were ready to declare racism against white people from a white person, to claim the victim's place, when it's pretty clear from the context that Walz is making fun of himself and over-sensitive white people.

The Swifties going for Kamala or Walz also now have some serious rage to work with, as apparently the opposition used doctored images to imply that Swift endorsed the Republican candidate. Which is probably one of those very stupid things that unleashes a major destructive force against him.

I love fish tacos - but they're battered and deep fried, with chipotle salsa.  May be garnished with a number of things: grilled onions, cilantro, corn salad, etc.  Tuna?  Not the right fish.  You want a light flakey white fish.

Fish tacos scare me, as a concept, although our son likes them. I don't eat a lot of fried food, in general (french fries!), so I never even think of them.

I think Kamala was serious about the combination of tuna AND mayo. I.e., tunafish sandwich in a taco shell. Because with Midwesterners, you could almost see that. It kind of fits in with jello "salad" (which is not a salad), and a bunch of other weird, bland stuff. :D
