Matt Gaetz withdraws his nomination for AG!

Well! At least that's one inept scumbag sycophant that won't be appearing in high office.

There's an interesting thing that Gaetz did. He was re-elected to office in the election this month. But he resigned from the current congress, presumably for the nomination to AG, but also possibly to dodge the report about him that's possibly forthcoming. So is he going to show up on the first day of Congress and get sworn in?

A lot of information of that report has been leaking.  The Speaker of the House is trying to prevent its release, I think if Gaetz rejoins Congress it'll have to come out.

Some are theorizing that Gaetz was put forth, knowing he was untenable, to soften the blow for the Florida AG that he wanted.  Who knows.

Even if he wanted to rejoin, I think he's become a great enough liability that everyone else won't want to let him back in.
