RIP: OZZY OSBOURNE!

Literally just a couple of weeks after his farewell blowout in London, Ozzy passed away last night, cause of death not disclosed, possibly not yet known. He suffered from Parkinson's, not to mention injuries from a late-night fall suffered not long ago and compounded from an extensive history of drug and alcohol use. He was 76.

Unexpected news after him just doing that concert. :o
But as you said, his body has been through a lot over the years.

I saw Black Sabbath, with Blue Oyster Cult, in 1974. Eight rows from the stage. Couldn’t hear well for three days!

Admittedly I only went because a friend had free tickets. I did not enjoy the show… ;o)

Didn't enjoy the show.  Heh.  I'm not super-keen on either band, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed the show too much either.  ESPECIALLY at that volume level!  Went to the audiologist today and my left ear dropped a bit more again.

I've read elsewhere, that said farewell concert was a charity event and set a record for a charity concert, something like $200 million raised for three different charities. Talk about going out with a bang.

I never liked his music but I ended up watching his TV show on MTV and we liked it a lot. What a fascinating person he was.

It's impressive to see how long he lasted, given how much of sex, drugs, and rock and roll was both his era and one of his personas.
