Pay down a credit card, get investigated by Homeland Security!

A couple sends in a check for $6500 to pay down a Mastercard that was getting out of hand, the payment gets flagged and held for further investigation by Homeland Security to make sure that their attempt at paying off said credit card isn't funding terrorism.

Guess who pushed that law through a few years back? John Kerry.

He was the senator behind the banking laws that required financial institutions to report any transaction over $5000 to the government so that you could be investigated for money laundering over drug deals. HS just latched on to that bad idea for the purposes of "thwarting terrorism." That's why whenever we deposit large amounts we split it up between two different banks.

Just wanted to throw Kerry's name out there and beat the Bush wailers to the punch. They all suck, both sides . . .

I knew the basis of this predated 9/11 & Bush and that Kerry was at least parly behind it.

"They all suck..." is the plain and simple truth.
