They have several different models of working catapults, trebuchets, etc. available that can hurl golf balls upwards of 300'! They also have software simulators to calculate arm length, throw distance, etc.

Gentlemen, start your Dremels!

More than one passenger say they did not hear the word bomb. And police holding shotguns to other passenger's heads? Weird stuff.

It's possible the link will break, I'll see if I can find something more permanent.

Here's the feedback the series generated. It's interesting to raise the hackles of audiophiles, you get people talking about a $300 iPod being an acceptable driver for $85,000 speakers and such as that. While I do not consider myself an audiophile because I can't afford the equipment (thank god!), I do like good audio and I don't like not having been able to set up my audio system here in Cloudcroft. I really need to get together with a guy from the observatory and see if we can brainstorm some method to run speaker cables in a manufactured house with no airspace/crawlspace under the roof.

Oh, and the sidebar links to the third part of the story.
