The Dude Abides

One of my favorite films is The Big Lebowski. I just enjoy the heck out of it.

And I just found out that they have annual festivals! Sometimes multiple annual festivals! They're called Lebowski Fests, and the next one is in Kentucky in July. Unfortunately air fare is $4-500, so I don't think I'm doing it this year. Driving would be cool, as I love that part of the country for driving in, but I can't afford the time off work. Maybe next year.

Do you sell realestate? Register your fingerprints with the Feds!

Apparently a bill sailed through the Senate recently that would require anyone connected with home mortgage origination to be fingerprinted with the Feds. What exactly is this supposed to accomplish except to create a non-criminal fingerprint registry that eventually everyone can be shoe-horned in to?
