Doonesbury Say What?
Oct. 11th, 2008 10:02 am"I just have to rely on the good judgment of the voters not to buy into these negative attack ads. Sooner or later, people are going to figure out if all you run is negative attack ads you don't have much of a vision for the future or you're not ready to articulate it."
-- John McCain, 2000
I guess it's a question of how good your negative attack adds are. If yours aren't good enough to stand up to your opponent's, then you take the "moral high ground", if a politician can claim such, and criticize them as negative attack adds. If they have a good chance of being effective, then you just run with 'em.
I need to make a list of what it takes to be a politician these days.
