I would really hate to see what their tech support counter will look like! At least they won't be calling it a Genius Bar, perhaps the Sub-Genius Bar? :-)
I think two words will sum it up: Epic Fail. In this economic climate? I just can't see this as being particularly successful, especially since, aside from mice and keyboards and Xboxes and Zunes (and they sell the XBox at a loss), MS doesn't make hardware. So all the computers there are going to have to be brought in from other vendors, which means their costs will be much higher than the Apple stores.
At least they could get a good deal on those empty Circuit City stores, except those are frequently on mall beltways, rather than in the malls themselves, so less foot traffic.
