Surrender monkeys! Freedom power!

Sorry, feeling weird. (like, and that's unusual?)

There are two characteristics of the French nuclear model that are great. First, they have standardized designs, every plant in France is based on one of three designs. This makes them less expensive to construct and gives workers better job portability by minimizing job retraining. That's good. They also have an active reprocessing program, so they don't have as much waste. And they have stricter environmental controls. Double plus good.

And get this: they built 56 plants in 15 years. We can't build one in 15 years it seems.

Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_in_France

I think if they followed the French model rather than let every single frickin' plant be independently designed, this could be good. But if they're stupid and let every single installation be totally different, well, it'd be great for the companies that design/make them and such for everyone else.
