Doonesbury Say What?
Aug. 24th, 2009 12:44 pm"I think health care is a privilege. I wouldn't call it a right."
-- Sen. Jim DeMint
Health care, itself, isn't the issue: it's affordable access to it. I would be deeply screwed if I did not have health insurance: I could very well be unable to leave the house for risk of infection and might be living on antibiotics.
I say we change this guy's mind by taking away his privilege. After all, aren't privileges something awarded by a higher authority? And aren't we the ones in charge of congress through our electoral process?
