My wife's next TV appearance!

We haven't seen it yet, and the turkey production company didn't let us know that it was now airing, but Russet is going to be on National Geographic's Naked Science program in an episode called Earth Without The Moon. It has already started airing, and it looks like the next time will be Sunday night.

As you may know, the moon is slowly moving away from the earth. This program discusses that event with a bunch of astronomers and planetary scientists and such, and they used Russet because of the Apollo laser program that she runs.

It was taped a year ago, we were told six months before it aired. Of course, MythBusters said the same thing when they taped at the observatory. And no, apparently there are no naked scientists on the program.

You might want to start preparing for this event now: it's going to happen in about 1.5 billion years. Don't want to be caught unprepared!

There are two clips on the web site, she's not in either. However, they do show the dome of her telescope opening in the beginning of the first clip.
