"Some people can never forgive her for not aborting a Down-syndrome child. Believe me, I know such people (I'm sorry to say)."
-- Jay Nordlinger on why more entrepreneurs don't support Sarah Palin

I can respect her not aborting a Down-syndrome child, that was her and her husband's decision. I don't know what I would do if I were faced with the same decision with my wife. But if you drink her coolaid, then no one would get the chance to make that decision and you would have to carry the baby to term.

This is the problem that I have with a lot of anti-abortion rhetoric. Their answer is abstinence-only and no abortions (some, not all, will except mother's health risk (such as ectopic pregnancy) and rape/incest). If they taught proper sex education and family planning in school, I think you'd see a massive drop in abortions.

But Nordlinger really needs to expand his scope if he thinks this is the only reason why some entrepreneurs don't support Palin. Technically I'm an entrepreneur, and I wouldn't give Palin the time of day, but it's not because she didn't abort a Down-syndrome child.
