What a day!
Feb. 21st, 2012 09:04 pmToday was amazing. I was electronically reunited with two old friends, one whom I went to high school with and haven't seen in 30 years and haven't had contact with in probably 15-20, the other whom I used to work with and haven't seen in 15 or so. I found the first through Linkedin, his name makes it VERY hard to Google, but I had no problems on Linkedin, the other was a lot harder to find but I eventually found an associate of his who forwarded an email to him from me.
The first lives in DC, so we'll hopefully get together in a few months when I go to NIH, hopefully June. He's also gobsmacked that I'm married to an astronomer and wants a tour, so he'll probably come out this way eventually. The other lives in northern NM and still goes to Phoenix, so I imagine we'll get together eventually.
