"I think that could be a very compromising situation, where people naturally may do things that may not be in the interest of the mission because of other types of emotions that are involved. It already happens of course with the camaraderie of men in combat, but I think it would be even more unique if women were in combat, and I think that's probably not in the best interests of men, women, or the mission."
— Rick Santorum on women in combat

The Israelis have an integrated army. I believe the Russians do. Many countries let women serve in combat roles. And we, 'the free-est country in the world', do not. Using Mr. Google Search Problem's logic, we'd have fire companies not responding to fires because the mixed gender crews would be having sex, likewise police response would be impared. Even Congress would have problems with Congressmen having sex with pages and interns. Oh, wait a minute. Disregard that last example.

This guy excavated his basement using remote-control construction vehicles. Same scale as the race cars. At a rate of 8-9 cubic feet excavated per year. He built a ramp so the dump trucks would take the dirt outside to dump it, then he'd drive them back in and load them up with front loaders. Several videos, I watched them all.

He started doing this in 2005, I have no idea if he's done.

Amongst the things that I'm curious about is how much maintenance his vehicles needed, and how often did he have to replace/charge the batteries. I'm pretty sure this is pure electric, I doubt there's hydraulics in vehicles of this scale.

The bankruptcy court allowed IBM to present counterclaims to SCO's lawsuit and apparently this is IBM trying to unsully its name. I personally don't see much of a point to it since SCO's attempts to sue the universe resulted in epic fail, but IBM does have a lot of lawyers, and I guess they need to occasionally be let out of their cages for some exercise.

One of the stipulations is that IBM cannot press for damages, so there's no money, aside from lawyer and court fees, involved.
