Like the Oscars, the Emmy Awards are leaving broadcast TV

Earlier this year, the Academy Awards ceremony left broadcast TV for YouTube. It was just announced that the Emmy's, television's award show, is also leaving broadcast: they're moving to Amazon Prime with next year's show. Formerly they rotated between the major networks, now they'll just be on Prime. Viewership was down 10% over last year's show, perhaps it'll improve. Theoretically it will be available for free with ads.

I missed that the Screen Actor's Guild awards had moved to Netflix. I guess every big streamer is trying to get one of the big award shows.
