Animated GIF Editors?

Can anyone recommend one? I want to do a fixed banner that is animated, I don't think PhotoShop is the tool for it. Any suggestions? I also have Adobe Illustrator (probably a four or five year old edition) if that might do it.

I'll echo that recommendation. ImageReady is what I use, and if I can figure it out, anybody can. :)

That's what I use as well. There are a number of good online tutorials as well, if you are wise in the ways of Google Fu.

Good! I need online as for some reason my help system isn't working and my manuals are buried in a box in my storage locker.
