My Parents!

FIFTY years!

They took off on a big vacation; went to Oregon to see my mom's brother for his 90th(!) birthday, then off to Little Rock and Bransan, Missouri, now off to the DC area. They get back to Phoenix about a week before I get there for Phoenix Con Games.

Wow, that's amazing and wonderful all at the same time. My parents made it to 45 years, plus 3 days.

I'm glad they're doing something special. That's quite an accomplishment!

Russet's parents made it to 53, we were married on their anniversary. Alas, her father passed away eleven days later. Still, it shows that she has some good genes (for longevity) on her side for both her parents, and I have similar on my side: my mother's mother made it to 96.

I wanted to send them back to Hawaii: my dad's boss gave them an all-expense trip to Hawaii for their 25th and I took them to San Diego for their 40th, but no money right now.

Maybe I should have started a PayPal Tip Jar. ;-)
