Basically a freak accident. I can't say I was terribly thrilled with his show, but a lot of Australinas are going to miss him.

i actually think he's more popular with north americans than australians... i first heard about him through a canadian. :)

um... why is anyone remotely surprised? He used to piss off venomous reptiles by pulling them by the tail.
I was waiting for a croc to decide that it had anough.

It's sometimes pretty weird how people die. Apparently not only was it caught on tape, he pulled out the spike that killed him. Makes me wonder if he might have lived if he'd left it in, but I don't see any way you could know that pulling it out would cause you to bleed out.

I never cared for him myself, animal shows don't do much for me, and stupid adventurism does even less.
