I've just been defrauded of some $200!
Sep. 24th, 2006 01:29 pmI pulled up my credit card statement today and found three charges that I don't recall making, one in West Covina, CA and in Portland, OR. Problem is, I haven't used that card in probably two months. So I called in and got a fraud stop on my account, they're issuing me a new card and closing the old one. Unfortunately it also means that I don't have online access to further research or dispute stuff until I get my new card.
*sigh* Looks like it's time to order credit reports. I've been meaning to start a cycle so that every two months we order one of Russet's, then one of mine. Since you can get one copy from each credit agency every year, this repeating cycle would do it. But I'll end up paying for mine so that I can get all three together and right now.
*bleh*
