I MISS MY RING!
Apr. 2nd, 2005 09:09 amI've worn what will be my wedding ring all this week to be confident as to the fit (I coudl get it replaced Sunday at the last day of the Ren Fest if I wanted), last night I took it off and put it away until our wedding. My finder feels weird without it! It is quite a pretty ring, and it's a puzzle ring, so it's doubly cool. I showed it to some friends last night, Bear, Felicia and Lee came over so that Bear, Lee & Russ could have a revenge grudge match of Scrabble (Bear beat Russ by ONE POINT) while Felicia and I watched an older Andrew Dice Clay flick called Brain Smasher: A Love Story. Much mirth ensued.
And I also was able to get Russ back together with her former co-worker, Tia, who was my astronomy teacher from last semester. I haven't seen Tia since December, it seems a lot longer. She swung by with her BF for conversation, it turns out that she's also a rabid Scrabbler and her BF lusts after my DVD set of the original Star Wars trilogy. So hopefully we'll be seeing more of Tia et al when Russ is next in town.
It's good to have friends.
Give it about ten anniversaries

Date: 2005-04-02 11:27 pm (UTC)The cool thing about ours is the merchant will let us trade-in for different rings and sizes if we need to. He gave us a discount for the rings that I bought last year equal to the purchase price and we kept the rings, but I'm sure that's within his easy wiggle room for haggling.
