I think it would be cool to do it up at the observatory, basically have a camera taking one frame a day at noon and uploading it, then selecting one a week and Photoshopping them all together. For that matter, you could make it a work-in-progress.

I've considered doing a non-photographic version, in which you put a stake in the ground every day at the same hour for a year. You should end up with an analemma-shaped structure, and you don't have to worry about messing up the film you've been working on for the last 300 days and having to start all over.

Then again, I'm not a photographer. In any case, I agree it would be a neat accomplishment.
