You have an iPod and a Windows PC? Consider holding off upgrading to Vista

Apparently there have been some corruption problems where the iPod just doesn't work very well afterwards. Some people have no problems, some do. Regardless, Apple is encouraging iPod owners to hold off until they come out with the new version of iTunes.

I'm not a music listener. My iRiver is for spoken word listening and recording of my own stuff and the older model I use has only a 256Mg capacity which is plenty for me because it's only a temporary home for things that get deleted or uploaded after I'm done with them. The funnest thing I use it for is to play back RiffTrax (the new MST3K soundtracks) while running movies. My iRiver hooks right up to any generic speakers. I also love that my iRiver picks up all FM radio channels.

For ripping and burning I use Sonic Digital Media Plus. That takes care of all my audio, video, and data archiving. Playback generally defaults to Windows Media Player, but I really don't watch/listen to much at my PC.
