I found something cool today that I'd forgotten that I still had!

I was going through my storage locker and I came across an old computer game.

On one 5.25" floppy.

For MS-Dos 2.

In a zip-lock bag, which was its original packaging (IIRC).

With it's comic book.


Leather Goddesses of Phobos.


The frightening thing is that I have a couple of PCs that I could probably put back together and play it.

I remember fondly that your first action must be to successfully use the bathroom, otherwise you die.

Yup. Meretzky and InfoCom at their twisted best! It was great. You start drunk in a bar really needing to pee. You can go to the men's room or the ladies' room, and that sets your gender for the rest of the game. While you're in the bathroom, space aliens invade and you're abducted.

If you ignore the call of nature, you wet yourself and the aliens decide that you're too stupid to live and disintigrate you.

This game is an absolute hoot! I had a lot of fun playing it, I probably didn't finish it as it's rare that I finished text adventures. But Infocom, and in particular, Meretzky, were gods of the text adventure field.
