Finally home!
Jun. 23rd, 2005 10:12 pmPisser #1 was finding out that my laptop did not hibernate when I shut it down at noon and the battery was totally flat. So I didn’t get a lick of work done during a four hour flight. I was hoping to pretty much finish up the program that I was working on, I’m VERY close. Sigh.
Pisser #2. Went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today. Pretty cool. Bastards won’t let you take a camera inside! Fortunately the “hat” check was free, otherwise I would have walked back to the car to secure it in the trunk.
Flight back was relatively uneventful, kind of bumpy the last hour but a monsoon is building up, so no big surprise.
Pisser #3 was my dad. We couldn’t get our directions straight, we were on opposite sides of the airport when we arrived, he didn’t recognize that the door numbers that I was telling him about were odd numbers and the ones on his side were even. Russet tried to tell me we were on the opposite side, but she was majorly wilting from the heat (103 or 108ish with the weird atmospheric conditions that precede a monsoon). Eventually we got together.
Dinner at Cheesecake Factory, had a great Caesar Salad, sufficient for lunch tomorrow.
Sunday we’re driving up to Cloudcroft, but for now, I’m taking a cold shower.

Date: 2005-06-24 05:45 pm (UTC)I hope you enjoy Cloudcroft. It should be significantly cooler up there. Drink some of the cherry cider from the orchard on the way up for me!
