Y'know, I think I could pay some credence to that if anyone could show DEFINITIVELY what this "living God" has actually said. As every account I've ever heard of was written down by someone else (even the Mormons don't have the Golden Tablets that were supposedly God's message), then I'm not willing to buy what is claimed he's said. Hell, if you really wanted to get silly with it, we could go back to the Old Testament, which would have us doing all kinds of wacky things, like burnt offerings on a regular basis. Wouldn't that do a lot for air pollution?

Nice thought, but not very practical. A lot like communism, which is good in theory and falls apart horribly when reality intrudes.
