I heard this on NPR's Science Friday, IIRC, and couldn't help but to laugh. It's a very funny story.

That is just hysterical. It's bad enough to steal someone else's work, but grabbing that for a softcore porn romance novel is just sad. Christ, she probably could've found something more entertaining and useful on wikipedia!

LOL, that bitch plagiarized the entire planet! I heard this story from the fannish end first a couple weeks ago, hilarious that it hit NPR. She even stole lines from the poem "Hiawatha" for her red-man-meat stories. I'm hoping to run across the old Hamm's beer jingle in her work next (From the land of sky blue wa-ah-ters. . .).

The really cool thing is that the Romance authors who were complaining about the plagerizing wench did a fund-raiser for the ferrets. Not sure if NPR mentioned that and I can't look right now. :)

That is amusing! A friend of mine said the novelist is a known plagiarists, which makes it all the more funny.
