I do enjoy this strip. And this is probably the sort of answer that I would strive to provide were I in the same situation.

I have prided myself when someone comes up to me and says "Can I ask you a question?", I don't give them the "Yes, you just did." I prefer "Absolutely. In fact, I can answer any question that you ask. The accuracy and relevency of the answer may vary."

That takes care of an awful lot of situations. :-)

Being a professional question-answerer, I often have to bite my tongue. This, however, does not prevent me from singsonging answers like yours in my head.
