A study was recently completed about terrorists, and basically it says that they mostly look like a combination of Three Stooges and the revolutionary cells from Life of Brian. It's a good read, and definitely reinforces the concept that the US is doing the "War on Terror" entirely wrong.

Most definitely. On that new paradigm, then, how do you eliminate terror groups? With social alternatives, like we try to do with gangs?

That was an interesting essay, and it actually makes sense.

You know, when this Mohammed cartoon was published in Danish newspapers, prompting riots, chaos and destruction in the Middle East, I was wondering about their motivation, too. Like "hey, they claim we're being violent! Let's show them by being violent!" And it wouldn't have mattered whether the Western nations had made promises or threats at that point, they didn't seem interested in any kind of talk.
