Not Good

Russet’s mother had a minor stroke last night. Her speech is slurred but I gather that she seems alert, so perhaps it will be just a motor impairment. She’s still too anemic to use blood thinners or to go after the carotid clot, so things seem a bit dicey right now.

Oh no, not when it looked like she was on the mend. It raises spectres of my mom's decline, when one thing just cascaded into the next -- none all that horrible in and of themselves, but one after another was just too much.
