Yeah. And Bush told the truth for 8 years? Or any congresscritter has consistently told the truth during their career? Don't even get me started on the accuracy of Rush "I'm a commentator, not a reporter" Limbaugh.

Rush's credibility should have been gone a long time ago, but especially so when he said he wanted this government to fail. At that point, it should be, "Okay, you've said it, now, since you feel so strongly about it, do your best to encourage the entropy by sitting on your ass and doing nothing."

In a way he's fomenting revolution IMO. And when you have that many listeners....

Could you imagine if O'Reilly and Limbaugh ran for office? They'd never be able to withstand the scrutiny. There was a fantastic Daily Show in the last week where O'Reilly was complaining about paparazzi stalkers harassing celebs, intercut with footage of Fox reporters harassing politicians at grocery stores, at their homes, etc.

...when you have that many dittoheads, you're the preacher up at the top. The only question that remains is whether you tell your flock to do good, or to commit mass-suicide in anticipation of aliens.

If Bill and/or Rush ran for office, the scrutiny would make them instantly into non-viable candidates, but they might still put up a strong showing because of their followers. It would be interesting just to see all the dirty, dirty laundry that will be aired because of them running.
