I'd like to see some proof whether or not this is true, but I doubt we'll ever see it. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised.

I would not be surprised if that were the case. By now, though, the evidence of such thinking has long since been scrubbed or hidden under the auspices of national security and other such insanity.
